Perrigo Acquires JB Laboratories

In a move that is expected to boost annual sales by more than $70 million, Perrigo Company, Allegan, MI, purchased JB Laboratories, Holland, MI, for approximately $44 million in cash in September. Privately-held JB Laboratories is a contract manufacturer of over-the-counter (OTC) and nutrition products for healthcare suppliers in the U.S. Perrigo develops, manufactures and distributes OTC and prescription pharmaceuticals, nutritional products, active pharmaceutical ingredients and consumer products. The world’s largest manufacturer of OTC pharmaceutical products for the store brand market, Perrigo has primary markets and manufacturing facilities in the U.S., Israel, Mexico and the U.K.
